The Reaction Should Be Attraction

OPENING PRAYER:

Father, as we study Your Word today, help us to understand the impact of our actions on those around us. May we be good examples of Your love and grace in our workplaces. Amen.

READ: Matthew 5:14-16 (NLT)

"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father."

Matthew 5:14-16 (NLT)

REFLECT:

Jesus calls us to be the light of the world, shining brightly in a world that often seems dark. Our actions and attitudes can either draw people to Christ or push them away. This is especially true in our workplaces, where we spend a significant amount of time and interact with many people.

The story of Uncle Bob and the neighbor who recognized his integrity is a powerful example of how our actions can impact others. Uncle Bob’s commitment to doing what was right, even in the small things, left a lasting impression on those around him. His life was a testimony to his faith, making the teaching about God attractive.

Reflect on your own life. Are you shining your light in your workplace? Are your actions and attitudes drawing people to Christ? Consider how you can be a positive example to those around you, demonstrating the love and grace of God through your work.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will work as if I’m working for God this week.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord, help me to be a light in my workplace. May my actions and attitudes draw others to You and glorify Your name. Give me the strength and wisdom to be a positive example to those around me. Amen.
