The Power of One: Living for the Mission
OPENING PRAYER:
Spirit of God, ignite within us a passion for Your mission and a commitment to live for the one. May our lives be a testament to Your love and power.
"In the presence of God and of Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead, and in view of his appearing and his kingdom, I give you this charge: Preach the Word; be prepared in season and out of season; correct, rebuke and encourage—with great patience and careful instruction."

REFLECT:
The charge given to Timothy is a powerful reminder of our calling as followers of Christ. The message concluded with a commissioning, urging us to live for the one and to be active participants in God's mission. This is not a passive call but an active, intentional pursuit of sharing the good news.
The story of Jessica Petrick and her relationship with Sarah illustrates the impact of living for the one. Jessica's commitment to building a relationship, sharing her faith, and inviting Sarah to church led to a transformation not only in Sarah's life but in her family's as well. This is the power of one person living out their faith with intentionality and love.
We are each called to live for the one, to be prepared to share the hope we have in Christ, and to do so with patience and love. This requires us to be attentive to the opportunities God places in our path and to be willing to step out in faith, even when it's challenging.
As we embrace this mission, we will find that God uses our efforts to bring about His purposes. Let us be faithful to the charge given to us, living for the one and trusting in God's power to transform lives.

I will write an "I Will" statement that captures my personal commitment to embody the principles of going, seeing, feeling, asking, and praying in my life. I will remind myself that my willingness to go and show compassion can be the light that guides someone out of darkness and into the hope of Christ.
