Seeking God's Guidance
OPENING PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, we humbly come before you, seeking your guidance and wisdom. We acknowledge that our own understanding is limited, and we rely on your divine insight to direct our paths. Holy Spirit, grant us discernment as we reflect on your Word and seek guidance for our lives. Amen.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
Proverbs 3:5-6
REFLECT:
This passage encourages us to trust in the Lord with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. It reminds us to acknowledge God in all our ways, and He will make our paths straight. In moments of exhaustion and burnout, we may feel directionless and uncertain about the next steps to take. However, God invites us to seek His guidance and trust in His wisdom. Trusting in Him requires surrendering our self-reliance and acknowledging that His ways are higher and wiser than ours. As we depend on God's guidance, we can rest assured that He will align our paths with His plans for us. This doesn't mean that life will be free from challenges or weariness, but it means that we can navigate those obstacles with the assurance that God is leading us. By seeking His guidance and aligning our lives with His will, we find purpose, clarity, and a renewed sense of direction.
APPLY:
Today, bring before God an area of your life in which you need guidance and clarity. Surrender your own understanding and ask for His wisdom and leading. Be open to the Holy Spirit's prompting and guidance throughout your day. Consider how aligning your life with God's direction can bring greater peace and a sense of purpose.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will divert time every day this week to be with Jesus.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, we thank you for the promise of guidance and wisdom. As we surrender our own understanding, we invite you to direct our paths. Grant us the discernment to recognize your leading and the courage to follow. May our lives be a reflection of your wisdom and purpose. In Jesus' name, amen.
