READ: 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.

2 Timothy 3:16-17 (NIV)

REFLECT:

This passage highlights the divine inspiration of all scripture and its usefulness for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training in righteousness. I am reminded of the incredible power and authority of God's Word. Knowing that "All Scripture is God-breathed" reassures me that the Bible is not just a collection of ancient writings but the very words of God, meant to guide and transform my life. This divine inspiration gives the Bible its unique power to teach, rebuke, correct, and train me in righteousness.

As a parent, I realize the importance of using scripture to guide my children. Teaching them God's truths helps lay a solid foundation for their faith. Rebuking and correcting them with love and wisdom helps them understand the consequences of their actions and the importance of aligning their lives with God's will. Training them in righteousness involves ongoing instruction and modeling of godly behavior.

The ultimate goal of scripture is to equip us for every good work. This means that the Bible provides everything I need to live a godly life and to fulfill God's purposes for me and my family. It is a comprehensive guide that prepares us for all aspects of our spiritual journey. By immersing myself and my children in God's Word, I am equipping us to navigate life's challenges with faith and wisdom.
