Bridging the Gap

OPENING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, as we conclude this devotional series, help us to be peacemakers and bridge builders in a divided world. Fill us with Your Spirit and guide us in Your ways. Amen.

READ: Ephesians 4:2-3 (NLT)

"Always be humble and gentle. Be patient with each other, making allowance for each other’s faults because of your love. Make every effort to keep yourselves united in the Spirit, binding yourselves together with peace."

Ephesians 4:2-3 (NLT)

REFLECT:

: Paul's exhortation to the Ephesians emphasizes the importance of humility, gentleness, patience, and love in maintaining unity. These qualities are essential for bridging gaps and healing divisions, whether in our families, communities, or society at large.

Humility allows us to see others as equals, gentleness helps us to approach conflicts with a calm spirit, patience gives us the endurance to work through differences, and love binds us together in unity. These virtues reflect the character of Christ and are crucial for fostering peace and reconciliation.

Reflect on the divisions you see around you. It could be in your family, workplace, or community. How can you embody these qualities to bridge gaps and promote unity? What steps can you take to be a peacemaker in your sphere of influence?

APPLY:

Today, take a step towards bridging a gap in your life. Reach out to someone with whom you have a strained relationship or a difference of opinion. Approach them with humility, gentleness, patience, and love, seeking to understand and reconcile.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will be humble like Jesus in a divided world

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father, thank You for the call to be peacemakers and bridge builders. Fill me with Your Spirit and help me to embody humility, gentleness, patience, and love. Use me to bring unity and healing in a divided world. Amen.
