Expanding Our Vision

OPENING PRAYER:

Almighty God, as we consider the broader scope of Your mission, expand our vision to see beyond our immediate context. Help us to be part of Your work in the world. Amen.

READ: Matthew 28:19-20

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."

Matthew 28:19-20

REFLECT:

The Great Commission in Matthew 28 is a foundational scripture for understanding the global scope of Jesus' mission. Pastor Carter highlighted the importance of not only focusing on our local context but also being part of God's work around the world. Jesus' command to make disciples of all nations underscores the inclusivity and expansiveness of the Gospel.

The early church took this commission seriously, spreading the message of Jesus far and wide. Today, we are called to continue this mission, recognizing that the Gospel is for everyone, everywhere. Todd’s message challenges us to think about how we can support and engage in global missions, whether through prayer, financial support, or even going ourselves.

For us, this means broadening our perspective and being open to how God might use us beyond our comfort zones. It involves a willingness to learn about and engage with different cultures and communities, understanding that God's kingdom transcends all human boundaries.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will pray about my commitment to All Things New.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for the privilege of being part of Your global mission. Open our hearts to the needs of the world and show us how we can contribute to Your work. May we be faithful in making disciples of all nations. Amen.
