The simple act of turning on a light switch to effortlessly illuminate a room with the flick of a switch is something that we often take for granted in our daily lives, yet it serves as a powerful metaphor for the ease with which we can share the light of Christ—simply, effortlessly, and illuminating the darkness around us. Our mission as believers is to carry the light of Christ so all the world may see it. We are not called to be something that we are not, or to share in a way that isn’t true to who we are. We are simply called to share our experience, to share how God has impacted us in this place. We are called to shine God’s light into the world, so that all the world can know God’s love.
