Living a Legacy of Faith

OPENING PRAYER:

Lord, as we conclude this devotional journey, help us to understand the legacy of faith we are called to leave. May our lives be a testament to Your love and grace. Amen.

READ: Psalm 78:4 (NIV)

Psalm 78:4 (NIV) - "We will not hide them from their descendants; we will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord, his power, and the wonders he has done."

This verse calls us to share God's works and wonders with the next generation, ensuring that His legacy continues.

REFLECT:

This week, in his message, Pastor Carter challenges us to consider the legacy of faith we are leaving behind. Psalm 78:4 reminds us of the importance of sharing God's deeds and wonders with the next generation. Our faith is not just for us; it is meant to be shared and passed on.

Living a legacy of faith involves being intentional about our actions and words. It means living in a way that reflects God's love and truth, inspiring others to seek Him. Our legacy is built through the everyday moments, the conversations, and the relationships we nurture.

The story of Albert Pujols and his father's influence illustrates the impact of a godly legacy. By living out his faith and sharing it with his son, Pujols' father left a lasting impact that extended beyond their family. We, too, have the opportunity to leave a legacy that honors God and inspires others.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will have a five-minute intentional conversation with a kid in my life.

Each day this week, our Daily Devotional will provide a question to help start conversations to assist with this week’s commitment.

Conversation Starter: "What is something you would like to be really good at when you grow up? How do you think you can start working towards that now?"

CLOSING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank You for the opportunity to leave a legacy of faith. Help us to live in a way that honors You and inspires others. May our lives be a testament to Your love and grace. Amen.
