The Journey of Influence
OPENING PRAYER:
Lord, guide us on this journey of influence. May our lives reflect Your love and truth, drawing others to You.
"You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."
Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)
REFLECT:
The message concluded with a call to be people of influence, reflecting the light of Christ in a world that desperately needs hope. Jesus’ words in Matthew remind us that we are not just passive recipients of His love but active participants in His mission. Pastor Carter emphasized that our lives are meant to shine brightly, illuminating the path for others to find their way to God.
The conversation with Raysha, Justin, and Weston illustrated the impact of genuine influence. Each of them expressed appreciation for Christians who live authentically and engage in meaningful dialogue. It’s a reminder that our actions, no matter how small, have the power to impact those around us. We are called to be beacons of hope and love, drawing others to the light of Christ.
Reflect on your sphere of influence. How are you using it to reflect the love and truth of Christ? Todd encouraged us to be intentional in our actions, seeking opportunities to serve and bless others. This is how we let our light shine and bring glory to God.
Let this passage challenge you to be a beacon of hope and love in your community. As you do, you’ll find that your life becomes a powerful testimony of God’s grace and truth.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will intentionally listen to someone outside my usual circle, seeking to understand their perspective and show them God's love through my attentiveness.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Gracious God, thank You for the privilege of being Your light in the world. Help us to use our influence to reflect Your love and truth, drawing others to You. May our lives be a testament to Your grace. Amen.
