Christmas At The Movies: Week 3 - Day 2
OPENING PRAYER:
Dear Lord, thank you for the wonderful topic of faith that we are covering this week. And keep us all safe as our nation is going through a crisis and many people are ill. Our one foundation, God, is that we believe that you will help us through it. Amen
“1. Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have a peace with God through our lord Jesus Christ, 2. Through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.”
“8. For it is by grace that you have been saved, through faith-and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God- 9. Not by works, so that no one can boast.”
REFLECT:
We humans struggle so much in this world. We suffer from troubles, poor health, mistakes, and any other horrific thing that has happened on this earth. Our normal response as human beings is to run away from our problems. We want to escape and be done with it. But no matter how hard we try, there is no way out. But God loves us so much. And because of that, he sent us a savior. He gave us his son Jesus Christ. He gave us a way out. Jesus says that he is the only way. Jesus is our only way to eternal life. The only way to the father is through Jesus Christ. God wants that for you because he loves you. He sent Jesus to die for your sins because he loves you. God wants to get to know us all individually. He is waiting for you. If you repent your sins and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you will be forever saved and you will be accepted into the kingdom of God. It doesn’t matter how much of your life is in order. He wants you as you are right now. All that matters is your faith and your commitment.
APPLY:
If you have never received Jesus Christ into your heart and if you see that you need him in your life, then go to a spot where it's just you and God and ask for his forgiveness and that you accept his son as your Lord and Savior.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Oh Heavenly Father, thank you for all that you have done for us. For sending your son to be our way to eternal life. Guide us as we undertake this journey in our faith in you.
