Sharing the Good News

OPENING PRAYER:

Lord, thank You for this opportunity to connect with You on a deeper level. We ask that You fill us with a passion to share the good news of Your love and salvation. Empower us to be bold and compassionate in our witness. Amen.

READ: John 4:25-30 (NIV)

"The woman said, 'I know that Messiah” (called Christ) “is coming. When he comes, he will explain everything to us.' Then Jesus declared, 'I, the one speaking to you—I am he.' Just then his disciples returned and were surprised to find him talking with a woman. But no one asked, 'What do you want?' or 'Why are you talking with her?' Then, leaving her water jar, the woman went back to the town and said to the people, 'Come, see a man who told me everything I ever did. Could this be the Messiah?' They came out of the town and made their way toward him."

John 4:25-30 (NIV)

REFLECT:

In this final part of the story, Jesus reveals His identity as the Messiah to the Samaritan woman. This revelation transforms her, and she immediately goes back to her town to share the good news with others. Her testimony leads many to come and see Jesus for themselves.

This passage underscores the power of personal testimony in sharing the gospel. The Samaritan woman, despite her past, becomes an effective witness for Christ because of her encounter with Him. Her story encourages us to share our own experiences of Jesus' love and transformation in our lives.

Reflect on your own journey with Christ. How has He changed your life? Your story, like the Samaritan woman's, has the power to draw others to Jesus. Don't underestimate the impact of sharing your personal testimony.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will move a conversation from superficial to spiritual with someone who doesn’t follow Jesus this week.

It could be a friend, family member, or coworker. Be honest about your struggles and how Jesus has made a difference in your life. Invite them to come and see what Jesus can do for them.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Jesus, thank You for revealing Yourself to us and transforming our lives. Give us the courage to share our testimony with others and to invite them to experience Your love and salvation. Use our stories to draw people to You. Amen.
