Extending God's Love

OPENING PRAYER:

Heavenly Father, thank you for your Word and for the opportunity to seek you today. As we conclude this devotional journey, help us to extend Your love and acceptance to those around us. Open our hearts to see the opportunities to share Your love in practical ways. Amen.

"For the Son of Man came to seek and save those who are lost."

REFLECT:

Jesus' mission to seek and save the lost is the foundation of His ministry. This verse encapsulates the heart of His ministry and challenges us to join Him in this mission by extending His love and acceptance to others. Christian’s message reminds us that there are many people in our lives who are like Zacchaeus, searching for acceptance and belonging.

Extending God's love involves more than just words; it requires action. Jesus' willingness to stay at Zacchaeus' house was a powerful demonstration of His love and acceptance. This challenges us to consider how we can extend God's love in practical ways, whether through sharing a meal, offering a listening ear, or providing support and encouragement.

Christian’s message also reminds us that there is something deeply spiritual about sharing a meal together. He emphasized the importance of sharing meals as a way to build community and show God's love. Throughout the Bible, meals are a symbol of fellowship and community. He shared how Jesus' act of dining with Zacchaeus was a profound demonstration of acceptance and love. By inviting others to share a meal with us, we create opportunities for genuine connection and the sharing of God's love. He challenged us to consider how we can use our own meals to extend God's love to others.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will share a meal with someone that needs to see God's love.  By extending this same love and acceptance to someone may help them feel seen or worthy.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Lord Jesus, thank You for Your mission to seek and save the lost. Help us to join You in this mission by extending Your love and acceptance to those around us. Open our hearts to see the opportunities to share Your love in practical ways. Amen.
