Confidence in Completion
OPENING PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, instill in us a confidence that rests in Your promises. May we trust in Your faithfulness to complete the work You have begun in us. Amen.
"Jesus looked at them and said, 'With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.'"
Matthew 19:26 (NIV)
REFLECT:
Pastor Rodney Elliott recounted the story of the rich young ruler, a narrative that challenges our understanding of what is possible. Jesus' words to His disciples, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible," remind us that our limitations do not bind God. The rich young ruler walked away from Jesus because he could not let go of his wealth, illustrating how our attachments can hinder us from experiencing God's possibilities.
In the message, Rodney encouraged us to step out in faith, trusting that God can do the impossible in our lives. This requires us to let go of our fears and doubts, and to believe that God is capable of transforming our hearts and circumstances. The church's vision to plant 100 churches and impact 100,000 people is a testament to this faith. It is a bold vision that requires confidence in God's ability to bring it to fruition.
Reflect on the areas in your life where you feel limited or stuck. What would it look like to trust God with those areas, believing that He can do the impossible? This is not about ignoring reality but about acknowledging that God's power is greater than our circumstances. When we place our confidence in Him, we open ourselves to His transformative work.
As you consider this, be encouraged that God is faithful to complete the work He has started in you. He is not limited by our weaknesses or failures. Instead, He uses them to display His strength and grace. Trust in His promise to bring about His purposes in your life.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will pray for God to open my heart to see the impossible is possible.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Lord, thank You for Your faithfulness and the confidence we can have in Your promises. Help us to trust in Your ability to do the impossible in our lives. May we rest in the assurance that You will complete the work You have begun in us. Amen.
