Generosity that Creates Curiosity

OPENING PRAYER:

Gracious God, as we explore how generosity can create curiosity, open our hearts to see how our actions can draw others to You. May Your Spirit guide us to live in a way that reflects Your love and grace. Amen.

READ: Matthew 5:14-16

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead, they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Matthew 5:14-16

REFLECT:

In Matthew 5:14-16, Jesus describes His followers as the light of the world, a city on a hill that cannot be hidden. He encourages them to let their light shine before others, so that people may see their good deeds and glorify God. This passage highlights the power of living a life that reflects God's love and grace, drawing others to Him through our actions.

Julie’s message emphasizes that generosity can create curiosity. When we live generously, it causes others to take notice and wonder what motivates us. This curiosity can open the door for conversations about our faith, providing opportunities to share the gospel and point others to Jesus.

In our own lives, we are called to be intentional about how we live. Our actions should reflect the love of Christ, drawing others to Him. This means being generous not just with our resources, but with our time, our attention, and our love. As we live in this way, we become a beacon of hope and light in a world that desperately needs it.

I WILL STATEMENT:

I will talk with someone about my commitment to All Things New.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father, thank You for the opportunity to be a light in the world. Help us to live generously, creating curiosity that draws others to You. May our actions reflect Your love and bring glory to Your name. Amen.
