Embracing a Legacy of Courage and Generosity
OPENING PRAYER:
Father, as we conclude this devotional journey, give us the courage to live generously and boldly for You. May our lives be a reflection of Your grace and truth. Amen.
“Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
REFLECT:
Pastor Carter’s message calls us to consider where we are investing our lives and resources. Jesus’s teaching in Matthew challenges us to focus on eternal treasures rather than temporary, earthly ones. This is a call to live with an eternal perspective, recognizing that our true home is in heaven.
In our daily lives, it’s easy to become consumed with accumulating wealth and possessions. Yet, as the message reminds us, these things are temporary and ultimately unsatisfying. True fulfillment comes from investing in God’s kingdom and living for His purposes. This requires courage and a willingness to let go of worldly pursuits in favor of eternal ones.
As we reflect on this, we are encouraged to examine our priorities and consider how we can align them with God’s will. Are we storing up treasures in heaven by living generously and serving others? Are we using our resources to further God’s kingdom and make a lasting impact? The message invites us to embrace a legacy of courage and generosity, trusting that God will use our lives to accomplish His purposes.
I WILL STATEMENT:
I will create a legacy through my commitment to All Things New.
CLOSING PRAYER:
Heavenly Father, thank You for the call to live with an eternal perspective. Help us to invest in Your kingdom and leave a legacy that honors You. Give us the courage to live generously and boldly for Your glory. Amen.
